Before going off to the winter olympics in Calgary in 1988, a press conference was held to officially announce the teams entry and also to launch the music and record label and merchandise that would be used to help promote the efforts of the Jamaica Bobsled Federation. Local and foreign media gathered at the Devonshire patio on the grounds of Devon House in Kingston Jamaica. In attendance were the founders and members of the federation including George Fitch, William Maloney, PC Harris (officials) and the team Dudley Stokes, Devon harris, Mikey White, Freddy Powell and others. As well, then Prime Minister of Jamaica the Rt. Hon Edward Seaga officially spoke about the tremendous publicity that Jamaica would gain. Thanks were offered to all those who had helped to be part of this historic moment. Here is a short list which will be added to as we relocate the guest list.
